Ross High School has now successfully achieved Gold accreditation through sportscotland’s School Sport Award, thanks to support from the East Lothian Educational Trust. This is the highest recognition available, and it reflects the commitment, culture, and quality of sport and physical activity across our school community.

The financial support has had a significant and lasting impact on Ross High School and, most importantly, on our young people. The funding allowed us to expand and strengthen the opportunities available to pupils, ensuring that sport is accessible, inclusive, and embedded in everyday school life. Through this support, more young people are now:

  • Participating regularly in a wider range of sports and physical activities

  • Developing confidence, leadership skills, and resilience

  • Building positive relationships with peers and staff

  • Feeling more connected to their school community

Experiencing the physical and mental wellbeing benefits that an active lifestyle provides

Achieving Gold accreditation is a testament to the hard work of pupils, staff, volunteers, and partners—but it would not have been possible without investment in helping us create environments where young people can thrive.
